The Community Resiliency Model (CRM)
September 23 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Community Resiliency Model (CRM) Training Opportunity – Child Care and Lunch Provided!
Resilient teachers equal resilient children.
Learn about the Community Resiliency Model (CRM) and the positive impact it can have on you and your classroom. This training will introduce strategies for helping you to deescalate your own stress as well as stressed out or upset children.
Learn 6 easy skills that can be used to reset, find balance, and take care of you and others in your community!
CRM provides a non-stigmatizing perspective on normal reactions to stress and trauma. The focus of this skills-based program is to reset individuals’ natural balance and build resilience. Using the wisdom of their own systems, people experience an increased sense of control over future wellness and rapid relief from stress.
This model has been implemented with much success at Asheville City Schools Preschool, Buncombe County Schools, Asheville City Schools, Verner Center for Early Learning, and other early education programs across the region. Resiliency skills are a valuable tool to help children and adults counterbalance the effects of stress, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and trauma in our daily lives.
