Demystifying the Environment Rating Scales

Part ONE – Overview: Tuesday, February 15

An overview of the Environment Rating Scales: ITERS-R and ECERS-R. The first part of this two-part training will focus on the scales’ format, general content and scoring. Participants will learn to use the ITERS-R and ECERS-R as a powerful tool to improve the quality of their classrooms.

Part TWO – ITERS-R: Tuesday, February 20
We will focus on the characteristics of the ITERS-R scale, address common concerns and low-scoring areas, explain key terms used throughout the scale and explore ways that infant and toddler teachers and administrators can use the ITERS-R to increase the everyday quality of their classrooms.

AND/OR

Part TWO – ECERS-R: Thursday, February 22
We will focus on the characteristics of the ECERS-R scale, address common concerns and low-scoring areas, explain key terms used throughout the scale and explore ways that preschool teachers and administrators can use the ECERS-R to increase the everyday quality of their classrooms.

4 or 6 CHCs

MUST ATTEND Part 1 (February 15) AND at least ONE of the other two nights. Floaters, administrators, two and three year old teachers are encouraged to attend all three nights.

The cost is the same for 4 or 6 CHCs for this training.
