Dear friends,
Welcome to Buncombe Partnership for Children’s 2020-2021 annual impact report. In a year marked by COVID-19, children, families, and early childhood educators have faced loneliness, disruption in their daily lives, and educational challenges. In response we embraced creativity, new ways to stay in touch, and positivity to support children and families.
In the coming year, we choose connection over loneliness. We choose resilience over disruption. And we choose learning and growth always.
Through our partnerships we care for caregivers – early educators and families.
We support children’s dreams and development. With a constant eye toward racial equity, we focus on opportunities for children whose families are facing the most obstacles.
As we rebuild our connections in the coming year, we need to remember those who had the fewest connections before COVID-19. While we’re seeing unprecedented problems, we also have an unprecedented chance to strengthen early childhood education in our community.
This yearbook is our invitation to you to reflect on the progress we have made together and how we help all children and families in our community flourish. Please sign your name, leave a comment, and add your own voice to the yearbook.
You make it possible for children and families to flourish and for educators to rely on a crucial support network. Thank you for being part of the Buncombe Partnership for Children family.
We appreciate you!
With gratitude,
