This workshop will describe in detail both teacher and toddler self-regulation and the connection between the two. We will talk about the development of teacher practices to keep us on track during the day and set the example for toddlers who are learning to self-regulate from us, the adults in the classroom. We will talk about strategies to use with toddlers when they are upset, and out of bounds. This session will provide the science behind self-regulation and the practical aspects of it including how early relationships profoundly influence young children’s development of self-regulatory skills.

What is the refund policy?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for trainings, unless Buncombe Partnership for Children cancels the event. Instead, we do offer ‘credits’ that can be applied to future trainings you wish to attend. To receive credits for future training you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance. You are responsible for contacting us should you wish you transfer your credit to another training.
Can I pay with cash or check?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept cash. If you do not have a credit card or feel uncomfortable using a credit card online, consider asking a friend to register you and giving them cash.
I’m going to be running late. Can I still attend?
Unfortunately, DCDEE rules do not allow for credit to be given to participants that miss more than 15 minutes of a training. The participant is welcome to still attend, but CHCs or CEUs cannot be given.
