This workshop is a condensed and focused 2-hour session that aims to introduce educators, caregivers, and professionals in early childhood education to the essential concepts and strategies for promoting multicultural education in their classrooms. Participants will explore the significance of cultural diversity and inclusivity in early childhood settings and gain practical insights to foster a more inclusive learning environment. Participants of this workshop will receive resources and materials they can use in their classrooms.
Marcela Cuadra is a dedicated and compassionate professional in the field of Early Childhood Education and Development. As a Latinx/Hispanic Educator, community advocate, and Inclusion Coordinator, Marcela has made a significant impact on the lives of children and families throughout her career. Marcela has worked in various roles, including as an early childhood center educator and a family education facilitator.
Originally hailing from El Salvador, Marcela has embraced North Carolina as her second home. Her dedication to personal, professional, and community well-being shines through her commitment to cultivating a thriving and inclusive environment for everyone she interacts with.
