Important Information Regarding CPR Offerings
Looking for CPR/AED/First Aid Certification options? BPFC’s Child Care Resources is proud to partner with The Resusci-Taters!
The Resuci-Taters offer a 3-hour course hosted monthly (see website for dates) from 11am-2pm. Classes are in person (location dependent on date), with no virtual component. The Resusci-Taters is a registered training agency with ECSI- The Emergency Care and Safety Institute. You can find ECSI listed as an approved agency on the NCDHHS Division of Child Development and Early Education webpage.
If you need to request a refund, staff substitution, or have any questions regarding CPR booked through their site, please contact the Reduci-Taters directly.

Training rules and guidelines:
Attendance: The Department of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) rules do not allow for credit to be given to participants that miss more than 15 minutes of any portion of the training. If you are going to be late, or anticipate needing to leave more than 15 minutes early, we advise you to attend another training at a future date.
Payment methods:
We take check and payment through Eventbrite via PayPal. Please let us know if you need to arrange different payment methods. Directors can attend most trainings for free if one or more staff attends the same training. Contact us at training@buncombepfc.org to get a code to bypass payment.
Refunds: Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for trainings, unless Buncombe Partnership for Children cancels the event. Instead, we do offer credit that can be applied to future trainings you wish to attend. To receive credit for future training you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance. You are responsible for contacting us should you wish you transfer your credit to another training.
Inclement weather policy for in-person trainings:
Buncombe Partnership for Children follows the AB Tech schedule when it comes to closings and delays due to inclement weather. Please stay updated using the WLOS weather web page. If AB Tech classes (day or evening) are cancelled, we are also closed. In the event a training is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will reschedule and transfer your training fee to the new date.
The training says it’s full. Can I still attend?
Most trainings have limited space available. It is recommended that you register at least ten days to a week before a training in order to be most likely to have a space available. Call (828.407.2059) or email us to be put on a waitlist in case anyone calls to cancel their registration.
Missing certificates:
In the case that you have lost your certificate please contact us at training@buncombepfc.org to request a new one. We will need the name of the training and the month and year that the training took place. Replacement certificates are only available for trainings that have taken place in the last three years.
