Title:

Welcome Maggie!

Maggie Fox recently joined our Child Care Resources team as an Early Childhood Specialist. She and the team work with early educators and child care directors to find solutions to classroom challenges. They offer trainings on a variety of topics to broaden the knowledge base and skills of new and seasoned teachers.

We asked her to tell us a little bit about herself.

What do you enjoy about working with kids and educators?

How imaginative they are! They allow us to realize the simple joys of life. I enjoy building teacher collaboration and increasing innovation in the classrooms like hip hop-based education.

What do you like to do outside of work?

You can find me listening to Lo-Fi Hip Hop, gardening, screenwriting, roller skating, reading Kennedy Ryan books, and traveling. I love learning new things and immersing myself in different cultures.

What’s your favorite kids’ book and why?

Don’t Touch My Hair! by Sharee Miller. As a child, my classmates always wanted to touch my Afro! Black hair matters and this story teaches the importance of asking for permission before touching Black hair.
