Tiffany Hagemeyer recently joined our Child Care Resources team as an Early Childhood Specialist. She and the team work with early educators and child care directors to find solutions to classroom challenges. They offer trainings on a variety of topics to broaden the knowledge base and skills of new and seasoned teachers.
We asked her to tell us a little bit about herself.
What do you enjoy about working with kids and educators?
Early childhood is so important, and the remarkable educators who live and breathe these early education environments need and deserve all the support we can give. I love that I get to center the voices of these teachers and help them fully live into their art of teaching.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work I’m a mom and love spending time with my family, traveling, and spending time in nature. I’m also a student at Western Carolina University and enjoy finding new spots to read and write with my coffee.
What’s your favorite kids’ book and why?
I love The Book With No Pictures by B.J. Novak, because it is meant to be read out loud to a group of children. I believe all learning happens in relationship, and the way that book engages the reader and the child in playful relationship (usually with lots of belly laughter) reminds me of why we do the work we do.
